Hey don't comment on what you dont know about. VCD data rates are 1.1Mb/sec. The parallel port can handle this perfectly well. The video looks as good as most vcds that I have seen (i.e. vhs quality) Putting your home movies on disc or using them on powerpoint is a very interesting application for MPEG.. William, it is full motion , fulll screen, 30 fps.. compression is normal study up on your PC bandwidths! k
