Compaq will also introduce new entry level Deskpro EN Series models designed for customers seeking sub-$1,000 models, but desiring the manageability and serviceability that Deskpro EN Series provides.

Compaq Deskpro and Professional Workstations
For those customers looking for the most powerful, dual-processor capable workstation featuring industry-leading graphics, Compaq now offers Intel Pentium III Xeon 1 GHz processors in the Compaq Professional Workstation SP750. Compaq will also incorporate Pentium III 1 GHz processors in its dual- processor capable Professional Workstation AP550 which delivers outstanding performance at an affordable price, and in the Deskpro Workstation AP250 featuring a single processor for budget conscious customers.
Performance gains from the 1GHz processor are most recognized by compute- intensive applications, such as computer-aided engineering, electronic design simulation and 3D graphics rendering software.
