If the military had not wasted so much money for so many years, there would be better equipment. No branch of the government has wasted more money than the military. There's no worse example of "tax and spend" than generals and admirals, as exemplified by $700 toilet paper holders and such. And now the generals are saying unless they receive billions more, America is at peril from the likes of Iraq and North Korea. What a bunch of baloney. Cold War's over. Take the money and spend it on health care and prescription drug benefits for America's needy veterans and fixing up our schools. I read the other day where some of these jet planes can fly forever if you maintain them.
