I read the article twice trying to find more info on the statement above. Your wording gives a little more info. I wonder if it's a microcode fix, or any silicon spin involved? What's the level of confidence that the fix works the first time?

They "claim" to have a fix/workaround already identified.

Below is good PR for a change:

At least one PC maker that asked not to be identified praised Intel's decision to hold up the Pentium 4, even though the problem affected only a small number of customers.
