Ultimate SPR?

Gore's idea that developing in Alaska should not be done because it will take a long time is a typical reason he should not be elected.

A seven year lead time is not much of a SPR. If you believe oil production will peak during the next 20 years, strategy to respond to this eventuality needs to be developed.

It should be considered that the next president to be elected could be very well serve 8 years. During this 8 years I believe we will either reach the peak production for crude or we will be very close.

Oil should be at the forefront of most all US policy going forward. It may well be the USA competing primarily with China for natural resources going forward. We need to ensure we develop and establish the relationships in the ME with less concern for Israel and more concern for the USA's oil supply.

Will Gore be the man to lead the world into the period of the decline of the Hydrocarbon man? He has 8 years to demonstrate his energy awareness and IMHO he has failed miserably.
