John: Yes I'm receiving a limited subscription to Bernie Schaefer's Option Advisor. It's got to be one of the best deals in option newsletters going. I'm paper trading his recommendations for now and he's pretty right on for the most part. He also offers limited subscription trading programs at much higher costs but the returns are supposedly spectacular. I'm very leery of these programs because they are so heavily touted by a boiler room type of operation. I think he offers a low rate on his monthly newsletter to hook people on his limited subscription offers. But, overall, I think he has one of the best operations around.

What I don't particularly like about any of these monthly newsletters is the lag time from when the recommendations are made to when you get the letter. I am presently reviewing services where they make daily recommendations and updates; usually over the 'net or by fax. One such service is netpicks.holowww.com They offer a daily service and update at a subscription rate of $50/mo. and if they don't return at least 10% on your investment for the month the service is free for the next month. I like that idea. I'm paper trading their service too and it is doing very well overall-at least as well as Bernie Schaefer's high cost programs from what I can see so far.

Check out the site and let me know what you think. (off topic) BTW I notice you're in San Antonio and an Aggie to boot. We're about the same age and I'm from San Antonio and a Tea Sipper but moved to CA about 23 yrs. ago. Are you from there as well?
