Tim, Few engineers have the capacity to see it from the consumers' perspectives. Their mind set is much more narrowly focused on the limitations of current technologies than on the bigger picture of what the consumer actually wants and is willing to pay.

Agree totally that it's going to be a convergence play and whoever will best provide and market the total package will be in the winners circle. The REBOCS and GTE have the best opportunity to provide the total package, but, unfortuneately, as some have stated on here, are locked into the old, go-slow, monopolistic mind set.

While the REBOC engineers are crunching their numbers and taking 30-minute coffee/Net surfin breaks, certainly, more nimble and higher risk takers will come up with viable convergence offerings and "steal" vast portions of the telcom/entertainment/Net markets.

Let's get back to business. To everyone on this BB: Which nimble and higher risk takers will be the future winners?
