Big Valley establishes advisory committee

A three-member advisory committee has been established. The advisory
committee is to assist the board of directors and management in the
selection of a permanent president, assisting in the analysis and design of
exploration programs, and assisting in the return of the QR mine to
production.
The committee consists of Robert Watts (chairman), Frederick J. Sveinson
and Peter Bradshaw.
Mr. Watts, BSc in chemistry, CA, is well known to the mining industry. He
has worked in the industry for over 36 years. Mr. Watts has worked for
Placer Development Ltd. in various roles with his last position as
vice-president, treasurer, San Francisco; he worked as vice-president,
finance, and executive vice-president of Pegasus Gold Inc.; he also worked
as president and chief executive officer of Orvana Minerals Inc., and as
vice-president, finance, for Princeton Mining Corp. Mr. Watts is currently
chairman of Gold City Industries Ltd. and Orca Energy Corp., and chief
financial officer of First Point Minerals Corp.
Fred Sveinson, BSc in mining, BA, brings with him a wealth of knowledge and
expertise to the advisory committee. Mr. Sveinson has over 30 years of
experience in the mining industry. In the last 10 years, Mr. Sveinson has
been vice-president and chief executive officer of Rea Gold Corp.,
vice-president, operations, of Dynatec Mining Ltd./Tonto Mining; president
and chief operating officer of United Keno Hill Mines Ltd., and chief
operating officer of Lytton Minerals Ltd. Mr. Sveinson is currently
president and CEO of Gold City Industries Ltd., and president of Sveinson
Mineral Services Inc. and Bremar Management Services Ltd.
Peter Bradshaw, BSc in geology, PhD (economic geology), has worked in the
mining industry for 32 years. Mr. Bradshaw worked for Barringer Research
Ltd. for 11 years, with his last position being vice-president. He worked
for Placer Dome Ltd. for six years as chief geochemist, general manager
exploration, Australia, and manager, foreign exploration. Mr. Bradshaw was
also senior vice-president of Orvana Minerals Corp. He currently is
president, CEO and director of First Point Minerals Corp.
