Many of the advancements in medicine recently were very much attainable many years earlier if only we'd have "thrown" some money at the research level.You're the beneficiary of the latest drugs and technology which evolved from the academic research depts of the major medical schools in this country.Yet,it's the same medical schools that are in deep financial trouble...maybe you want to donate some money in this area?....even this technology boon could have arrived a decade earlier if only we'd "thrown" some money that way.Better to spend trillions on defense in peacetime than to aid your fellow citizen who may not be able to afford the expensive drugs they need to prolong their lives.
