Ted,

The supply/demand issue for the dollar is the same as the stock market. It's all determined by how much of one currency you are will to pay for another currency (like how much US dollars [one currency] you are willing to pay for Naz stocks [another currency]).

In your post you are implying that the US would have to go to sh*t for the dollar to crash. I disagree, I think things would just have to stall or down a little. Crash might not be the right word.

Either way, I think a rally in gold will happen in the near future.
