PIII 1 GHz work in an SMP environment, although the most that are used that way together is two.

I seem to recall that the very first version of 1 GHz Piii released did not work in SMP. Then, there was another stepping that was SMP capable, but the latest 1.13 did not again, which lead me to believe that SMP is broken again in the latest stepping. Unless, the latest stepping was withdrawn completely, not just the 1.13 parts, and we are back to the previous one.
