Ah, Neocon, we cross paths again. Well said, but the details, the details! Which church, and whose values, and who decides? Who gets to power to use the meat axe of governmental powers to enforce their choices upon others? Where is the line of delineating between that which your neighbor, your county commissioner, your Governor, or your Congress gets to control your private life, and that which is only between you and your God? For conservatives to say that government is incapable of even the littlest good in public matters, but that it knows best in private matters - is very much an flagrant contradiction. And a clear source of tension between the fiscal "conservatives" (government is bad) and the social "conservatives" (government knows best).
