Whatever there may be in the ground in Alaska, the sooner it's drilled, the sooner it will be pumped out and used up.

The United States needs to turn its attention to energy sources that do not run out so quickly.

The Wildlife reserve should be drilled to see what's there, but not pumped.

The nuttiest thing I read is, "The government should encourage drilling in our own country." Drilling for what? Driveway gravel? Most of the oil is gone. There are immense amounts of coal and oil shale.

Both Bush and Gore are using simple-minded rhetoric over the energy issue to try to get elected. Nobody is really discussing solutions.
