It's certainly something to worry over for fishstocks in the Caribbean and Gulf waters.

There's been quite a lot of publicity lately in various nature publications about this phenomenon which hopefully is a one time aberration triggered by climatic or warm current changes. Also, hopefully Mother Nature will provide some predators even a red tide to reduce the Jelly Fish population. Similar things have occurred around the world like the Crown Starfish in the Great Barrier Reef.
