GALAVU CLOSES $5.1 MILLION PURCHASE OF ROGERS HOTEL ENTERTAINMENT DIVISION - TWC
MARKHAM, Ontario, Canada (May 21, 1997) GalaVu Entertainment Inc. (CDN:GENI) and Rogers Cablesystems Limited today jointly announce that, pursuant to their letter of intent, GalaVu has now acquired Tele-World Communications (TWC), a division of Rogers Cablesystems. TWC provides pay-per-view and a range of interactive services to the lodging industry with approximately 19,000 rooms under contract in Canada.
Of the $5.1 million purchase price, Rogers is receiving $3.1 million in cash and $2 million in GalaVu common stock.
