Right now SanDisk is straddling the ends of the spectrum.
It is neither an IP pure-play nor a manufacturing powerhouse.

I am ok with that.

Since nobody outside either company knows the details of the recent
renewal of the licensing agreement with Hitachi there is no way to
substantiate or refute your assertions.
