She seems to do what brokers use to do with their clients, a word of support for the markets.

Ever call your broker years ago, worried about the market and the broker says, "well, we are buying so and so." Then you hang up feeling better.

Since most have dumped their brokers, maybe she is the voice of support?

If you made trades more expensive, I don't think you would see these weird swings. I still remember some days paying upwards of $1,000 per trade.
