re. "trickle down"...... I bought a few shares of MDZ. They are "stick toe in water" shares. That is, I know that the company is doing exciting stuff, and is a leader in consolidation in the instrument realm. However, I know nada regarding investment quality. I force myself to watch and learn by buying a few shares. Sometimes it pays, and it never hurts much (if at all). A FWIW.
