Subject: Comparisons between USA Internet Services and Europe

Here's what the typical rates are for broadband Internet access in the USA:
1. Local phone line $16/month
2. DSL service $45/month
3. ISP service $21/month

So this is about $82/month flat fee for unlimited, always on DSL service(unlimted local voice calls too). Cable modem is cheaper because the ISP charges are bundled in the $40/month cable modem charge. But of course you need to have cable TV service already installed. Just in case you are interested, cable TV service is roughly about $50/month for about 200 programming channels.

Can any other foreign country users give comparable stats to the above? Either broadband stats(which I understand if fairly limited in number) or just dial-up service. If charges are added per minute of online use, could you please give a rough idea of how much this costs too. Thanks.
