Academic. Patents need to be moved to development agreements that generate cash flows. The fact that he has been involved for years does not impress me - if he has been so brilliant and instrumental why hasn't he helped to deliver paying customers? Don't give me any B.S. about how these things are done - I have personally licensed bleeding edge patents and technology to fortune 500 tech companies. Enough about patents already - the patent office files are filled with tons of good patents that are good for little more than hallway decoration. It's time for these guys to get off their butts and get hyper aggressive with twisting agreements out of customers. Time to walk the walk.
