well, you can say the same about drinking. in fact a study commissioned by the Austrian committee for traffic security proved that the weed consumers are far safer traffic participants when pasted than consumers of alcohol, because they tend to drive slowly.

in any case, one should be sober when driving, and this isn't what this is about anyway. what this is about is personal freedom. anything that pushes back the states control over how its citizens should lead their lives is welcome in my book. i'm a tee-totaller myself, but i regard the West's drug policies as one of the more glaring infringements on freedom and generally as a complete failure in urgent need of radical reform.
