H.R. 5164: Transportation Recall Enhancement Bill

The Bill in reaction to the Firestone debacle is the "Transportation Recall Enhancement, Accountability, and Documentation Act (Introduced in the House), or HR 5164 IH. If you want to read it see the first link below.

The third link is so you may write your local legislators and ask why a TPM technology for sale by TRW for several years now, that might have prevented some of the current tragedies, has not been included in the dashboard instrument cluster by the major OEM auto manufacturers? It's incredulous to think that OEM's are including phones, GPS systems, On-Star, Videos, Heads-up-displays, Night Vision etc. while omitting this basic safety item!!
