Didn't say Methanol wouldn't technically be a good fuel. I said that because it was poisonous and corrosive it would not be allowed as a fuel, at least for automobiles. I stand by that statement. Busse, trains, and other vehicles where refueling and maintenance takes place by personnel who can undergo special training are a potential market.

The automakers had a problem a number of years back with methanol. It's presence in gas tanks (cheap fuel injector cleaner is methanol) was eating away the seals, causing failure of the fuel system. Great way to void your new car warranty nowadays, putting in an unneccessary additive that eats seals.
