Ross Systems Announces First Orders in Greece
ATLANTA, Oct. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Ross Systems (Nasdaq: ROSS), a leading supplier of enterprise management software and e-business solutions for mid- market process manufacturers, announced its first orders in Greece.
Metal processor Cerametal SA and manufacturer Soulis Furs both ordered Ross Systems' iRenaissance suite. Cerametal will implement the iRenaissance financial, distribution and manufacturing modules. Soulis Furs will implement the full iRenaissance package.
"Ross Systems entered the Greek market a year ago, and these first two orders indicate that our efforts there are beginning to pay off," said Ross Systems' CEO and President J. Patrick (Pat) Tinley.
Ross' Vice President, Worldwide Channels, Oscar Pierre added that, "With the development of an excellent local professional team and a fully integrated iRenaissance solution for the Greek market, we think these will be the first of many companies in Greece to buy Ross Systems solutions."
Most ERP systems are designed for discrete manufacturing, with an underlying architecture based on static bills of materials (BOMs), which define all the parts and components that go into a finished good. In contrast, Ross' iRenaissance is designed specifically for process manufacturers, with capabilities that support the unique needs and complexities of the metals and other process-focused markets.
