Elmer,

So I asked you twice to backup your claim that Intel's 1GHz CuMines are unreliable and you have no facts to present, only opinions.

What would be an acceptable "fact" to prove that Pinto is not a safe car? A few blown up gas tanks? It's not out of the question that we will get some of those.

That's fine, you're entitled to your opinion but it's clear you have nothing else to present.

Well, you are entitled to hope that the massive release of the 1 GHz Piii with the current stepping will be trouble free. I have my reasons for skepticism.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that Intel is pushing their chip well into the danger zone.

Or, I wonder, is it possible that the new Piiis are actually cC0 stepping? They were clearly over the limit in 1.13 GHz operation, but the stepping may be good enough for 1 GHz. Do you know any details about the stepping of the current 1 GHz Piii that are starting to appear?

Joe
