Hi Vestor, I never worked with point & figure TA due to no recognition for volume but due believe it has its place in security analysis. I have never been successful with the TA tools, such as stochastics, moving averages, and macd, due to the ability to manipulate the input to arrive at whatever decision your searching. This is not to say these tools are not valuable because they certainly can be used as supplemental info on your buy/sell decisions. The best advise I could say is to test the stochastics over a period of time and record the data. If you're not getting results change the imput parameters and retest. I primarily use TA as a supplemental tool, relying on support and resistance, overextended from base, trend lines, and chart patterns. I am a strong supporter of TA but believe it to be used best with fundamental analysis.
