People are nuts! AMAT and other semis are oversold. Who is doing the selling? Big institutions? I hold my positions. Does anyone know if other small investors hold their ground?

My husband and I have a theory that major brokerage houses manipulate stocks. Or attempt very hard to do so with their negative recommendations.

Since it is a theory, we don't know if it is correct, but we wish the SEC would look into the activities of some of the analysts that have downgraded companies where the top executives say that they are comfortable with earnings. Teradyne and TI executives come to mind. Executives from both companies have said that they are comfortable with earnings this quarter.
