Yes, it does run over the internet. It was and kinda still is in beta. They are adding people slowly and not calling it out of beta officially yet. Until today, it was running pretty good, but then I downloaded their latest version last night and after about 5 minutes into the market, got some kind of debug error. They're looking into it.
