both cases can be argued. i actually think we might get a few days of relief rally in the Oct. 5 to Oct. 13 cycle window...and then the smasheroo, third of third of third of C or 3...but who knows, this may just as well just keep going...you have to always remember that we have in essence two forces at work: one are the highly leveraged positions by hedge funds and other big (as well as small i might add) players that are in danger of a rapid forced unwinding when certain pain thresholds are hit, on the other hand we have the Fed's printing press really smoking now in an attempt to head this thing off at the pass.
i find it most remarkable that the spin has this week managed nothing but create a few failed early morning rallies. i mean, Battadingsbums was wheeled out, Harpo was wheeled out, they let Ralphie speak of 'danger levels' on the NAZ (this has turned the market back up in the past), they released the SPR, they intervened in the forex markets...it's the same song and dance essentially that has ALWAYS worked in the past.

..dare i say it..."it's different this time"...
