Good grief! RS, I think those Oz "Mate's Rates" prices are even HIGHER than they were previously. $3 a minute and $30 a month and $3000 for a phone and they want a 2 year contract as well.

$3000, $30 a month, $3 a minute, 2 year contract. They are obviously not interested in selling a lot of that. No wonder the share price is down to $7 again.

If that's how they treat their mates to a good deal, I wouldn't want to see a bad deal.

Yes, people can buy the Telit phone and pay
A$900, A$190 a month for 88 minutes and A$1.80 a minute for extra minutes and have a 2 year contract. I can't imagine too many people getting excited about that. I think they might have put their prices UP to adjust for the lower A$ versus US$.

Today, the New Zealand dollar reached another all-time low of US39c to the NZ$1. We are now arriving in banana republic land.

PS: I suppose the great new marketing plan from GlobalstarUSA will be similarly unattractive and unexciting. This whole Globalstar marketing experience feels like wading through deep mud.

Vodafone Australia in qa-www.globalstar.com.au "Call Plans" writes "Two great new $30 and $50 call plans". Are they serious that they think these are 'great' plans?

I can't imagine hordes of Australians falling about with excitement, asking each other "Have you heard about the great new plans from Vodafone for Globalstar's Can't Dial Me Anywhere service?" "Wow! You're kidding! For real? Where the heck can I get one of those great mate's rates deals?"
