As most know, historically, NOV, DEC and JAN is the best period in the market on average. I attribute it to Xmas spending, plus New Years exuberance, plus investment of year end bonuses, plus window dressing, plus tax loss selling.

More than a year ago I proposed on SI selling everything around July 15th, buy on Halloween, sell on MLK's birthday, buy on Memorial Day. Sadly, I did not follow my own advice.

I did lighten up in July this year, but have crept back in. And due to JNPR, CHKP, BRCM, RBAK and a few others had almost got back to even. But, of course, now I am suffering again with everyone else. I'm ok enough to last to Halloween and ride from there.

But, AS SI IS MY WITNESS, I am selling everything on Jan 15th and will stay out of the market till May!!!

There. I feel better now. BTW, did y'all notice how well QCOM held up today?

All the best,
Tom
