Maurice,

They'll want two phones, with the same number. The cute little Nokia GSM for round town and the dirty great Globalstar phone for in the Outback.

I doubt that Vodafone has had the wit to offer such a service. Vodafone will try to charge for two accounts, insist on two numbers and charge huge amounts for call-forwarding to the Globalstar phone.

Probably not. In the UK the phone is sold separately for use in conjunction with an existing Vodafone account by swapping the SIM card.

I don't know whether they are available yet, but it is in principle possible to have two SIM cards on the same account. The first phone to register with a network blocks the other one. This would be a good way of handling the switch from small "city" phone to huge "outback" phone.

John
