Once you start managing out of fear. It's over. Once you start bringing a workforce in because you're afraid you've lost it. It's over. You've already lost. You might as well turn the lights out right then. The parties over. That is not a valid reason. You're killing incentive. You're lowering salaries. The workforce is going to be there. The kids are geared for this. they are digital. It's not going to be about the workforce, There are only so many routers that can be configured? There is only so much fiber that can be laid? There is only so much paper that can be sold? I don't know. But i do know that flooding the market with employees will kill salaries and ultimately kill moral and i don't know if it's a good thing longer term. It's a short term fix that is short sided and may come back to haunt you. The MBA's I understand why they want it. I can't stand MBA's and I'm extremely biased in that respect. They have their own agenda and it often doesn't fit the culture in which they are in. Some of them might as well go work for IBM in the 1950's and wear a white shirt.
