SEDONA Releases Intarsia V2 After Successful Beta Testing

LIMERICK, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 4, 2000--SEDONA(R) Corporation (NASDAQ: SDNA) (www.SEDONAcorp.com) has announced the successful completion of beta testing and general release of Intarsia(TM) V2, its Internet customer relationship management (CRM) application for small-to-mid-sized financial service companies.

SEDONA will be demonstrating Intarsia this week at the Financial Technology Expo 2000 in New York (Booth No. 814).

The new version, launched in July 2000, added three key capabilities to SEDONA's popular Intarsia CRM package: support for wireless devices such as laptops and handheld PCs; a portal front-end that allows individual companies and users to personalize their own Intarsia look and feel; and use of the software on an application service basis, significantly reducing the cost and time required to implement a comprehensive CRM solution.

"We are committed to delivering a quality product and view beta testing as a critical part of our overall quality assurance process," said Marco Emrich, president and CEO, SEDONA. "Since we work closely with many of our customers to design and enhance Intarsia's capabilities, it is important to us that the customers are the ones to help test the new features and that they are happy with the results."

Bremer Bank, St. Paul, Minn., a financial services company with over 100 locations in the Midwest, and Central Bancompany, a Missouri-based bank holding company with a network of more than a dozen banks statewide, were two of the institutions that participated in SEDONA's beta program.

"We have been using SEDONA's CRM solutions to gain a quantitative look at our customer information for marketing and customer service functions throughout our organization, which has over a dozen locations statewide," said Jay Coakley, vice president of marketing, Central Bancompany. "With the Intarsia product, we plan to leverage this information to target the segments that have the best opportunity for a greater return on marketing investment and customer management."

"Our relationship management strategy relies on our having an Internet-based CRM system," said Troy Beaver, senior vice president of marketing, Bremer Bank. "Intarsia gives us the most affordable and comprehensive technology solution available to help us profitably manage our sales and marketing efforts. We were very pleased to be one of the first banks to be able to take advantage of the new capabilities."
