Eric,

LAS-CDMA integrated into 1x EV-DV specifications changes everything.

No wCDMA in China.

Why will China pay excessive royalties for wCDMA when they own a piece of a flavor just as suitable for their GSM upgrades? Why would China not promote, both internally and globally as well, the flavor for which they have IP interests and the opportunity for a royalty stream? Regarding TD-SCDMA, why will China prefer TD-SCDMA, which can be used domestically, but has no chance elsewhere?

The presumed dominance of wCDMA looses certainty, if not credibility, with this new equation.
