Calling a bottom.... bad news comes out and the stock goes up ?! Classical explanations include short covering, but I just doubt thats the case. Often when a bottom is reached stocks react positively to what might be discerned as negative news. Technically, the stock is below moving averages so it looks bad in that respect; however the overall chart pattern MAY indicate formation of a double bottom (W pattern). Depth of bottom ~ 10 so target price potentially ~ $34 + 10 = $44 guessing again 6-12 mo period.
