Sold all my HDD this am, a might too soon at 11. Was looking for 12, but the arbitrage at the time had driven MXTR to such a level that it didn't look likely.

Long term, I like the combination of these two companies. I've always held MXTR in high regard, as not a single hard drive I've purchased from them has failed.

Short term, I worry about potential merger related problems and potential charges. Also, the TDK stinky water problems discussed on the Disk Drive Sector forum represent a risk to this quarter's earnings.

If HDD could not produce to plan, they may face a revenue shortfall. MXTR could be in the same boat. The upside would be stronger drive pricing, so it's a bit of a gamble near term, especially with both companies now tied to each other's performance.

Once things settle out, I may look to re-enter. Good luck to the longs.
