Judy, Teri, Tito, Cari, Gottfried & All, If I am correct in looking at my charts the last of July, '96 was when the Price bottomed out--this was even while earnings were high. But, Wall Street looks 9-12 months down the road. Now, when the earnings just bottomed out and are starting to move up again W/S is looking 9-12 months out. Therefore, we are now being compared against low EPS numbers with everything going positive for AMAT. I agree that the last broad base was from the middle of Feb. to the Last of April. Projecting this immediate potential target I get $89.00. I believe someone else on this thread predicted $80-85. These projections are based on the columns of "x"(ups) and "o"(downs) times three giving me $45. If you add this $44 low during May you get $89.00. I can see this happening during or immediately following the earnings disclosure in August.

This also agrees with the NAIC projections.

What are your responses? Is my rationale reasonable. We seem to be making the same predictions.

Paul
