RE: engineering and flimsy brittle "tubes/conduits"...
Well, maybe an engineer drew a fat-pencil line through a bunch of states and said, "Let's put it here!!!" But let me tell you how it was really installed!!!

For example, on this place? The owner said, "Nope!!! Put it here because of this is the best place to cross the creek without disturbing my fishing for the next 20 years, and not over there where your damn map said it should go!!!" He won!

And then, the neighbor to the south said, "NOPE, ain't leasing to you, Sucker!!"...So they "strayed onto BLM land" about 50 yards higher and made a hellacious mess trying to get in and through and around horrific basalt protrusions and shear cliff-faces that break off and tumble down onto the highway all the time.

"Engineering" has already moved onto the next fat-pencil line idea. And the boobs out here on the install aren't engineers...most of them can barely tie their shoes or mumble coherent sentences!!!

But believe me, getting fiber through these things sounds like pushing a piece of limp thread through a plugged straw. Going to be interesting.

It's one thing to bury brittle tubing bundles...totally something else to stuff a wet noodle down one for miles. They don't make "coat hangers that long" to assist stuffing the sausage if ya' get mah drift...(pardon the pun)

c'ya.
