Danny Casolaro--found with his wrists slashed
on Aug. 10, 1991 in the bathtub of a Martinsburg,
W.Va. motel room. The 44-year Fairfax, Va.
freelance reporter had been investigating the Inslaw case management software theft. Both wrists were slashed a total of 12 times all the way to the tendons. There were no
hesitation marks as commonly found in such cases.

In addition to Casolaro's death, there are
suspicions that other journalists may have died
while pursuing related stories. A reporter for the
Financial Times of London was found shot to death
in another bathtub in Guatemala City less than two
weeks before Casolaro died. That reporter had been
looking into the BCCI banking scandal's ties to
Central American arms sales.

In another case, British journalist Jonathan Moyle was found hangingin a closet in a Santiago hotel room in 1990. Moyle had been investigating the sale of American helicopters to Iraq through Carlos Cardoen, a
shadowy Chilean arms dealer.

All three found dead within a very short period of time while investigating scandals related to the Regean-Bush Administrations.
