Gores $10k tax deduction for college is REALLY $800.
You have to divide the $10K by your marginal tax rate then figure in deductions. I was surprised Bush didn't bring this up. Perhaps he didn't know. Actually CNN figured it out...

Yet another example of voters (cirruslvr maybe) being swayed by the BS...

I believe the top 1% of earners pay about 50% of the taxes.
So it follows they would get a break in any across the board tax cut.
Still this is the rally cry of the divide and conquer Al Gore...
The facts are any family of 4 making over 65K is "rich" according to Gore.
He wants all the money and then the arrogant one wants to spend it as HE sees fit...very direct targeting...and it doesn't include a lot of the people who suppoprt him.
