volt, the largest driver of this market is debt. a house w/ no money can't do squat. it takes capital to move markets higher. money supply has been growing at a HUGE pace. witness what happened when greenspan pumped cash into the markets before y2k. dec 99 was a month to remember. the rest of the cash made it into the markets after y2k was a dud.

then, plop - 30% loss. why? a negative change in direction by the fed? nope. the cash infusion stopped cold turkey.

there are problems with debt growing geometrically. eventually they come home to roost.
