Gidday Michael, I suppose they will have signs all along the road warning people to not use a cellphone? "Now entering Wacky-Land where we can't walk and chew gum at the same time"

Driving with a hand-held phone is illegal in Suffolk County, but what about driving with a hand-held cigarette? Or a hand-held comb? Or having a radio system requiring adjustment?

They should make it illegal to hold anything other than a steering wheel, gear lever, indicator or handbrake while in charge of a motor vehicle. Also, illegal to wind down a window, adjust a stereo, hit children, shoot firearms at passersby [or Doves in Texas], look at the view etc...

They could also require a person with a red flag to proceed ahead of the vehicle to warn people of an approaching vehicle.

How about just requiring everybody to comply with road rules such as not driving through red lights, not running over children, staying on the right side of the road, which is the left side in New Zealand? Leave it to people to comply with those road laws any way they like. Then charge them lots of money if their car does anything it shouldn't.

Sure is a nice day again today. Especially with Q! back to the old tricks = zoomed to $79 today [with more to come perhaps]. Oh, still climbing as I write. $79.25...
