Maxtor and Quantum HDD Conference Call Notification

Maxtor Corporation (NASD: MXTR) and Quantum HDD (NYSE:HDD) will
host a joint conference call on Wednesday, October 4th at 10:30 a.m.
Eastern Time (7:30 a.m. Pacific Time) to discuss their proposed
merger.

ensure participation in the entire call, please dial in to the call at
least ten minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
