Secure MMC

Cooters,

Here is a link you may wish to visit...

mmca.org

My understanding is that while Secure Digital Memory Card and
Secure MMC are not compatibile (competing copyright protected standards), both are compatible with plain, vanilla MMC.

Either way, plain vanilla is looking tasty.

I am hoping that OEM's give consumers to activate or deactivate the security features as they see fit. To sell a product and require safety features be used is quite restrictive. It would almost be a certain death sentence for the product at hand.

As I have posted, SanDisk has an interest in MMC flash RAM, while Infineon has an interest in MMC ROM also known as "Recorded on Silicon" or "ROS".

I posted some information from 1997, but now I can't find the damned link.

Sorry.
