I think Dell are going to have to do some serious thinking about the Athlon now. If it turns out that the other OEMs do OK, and particularly that AMD and Gateway do well, then Dell's shareholders are going to start querying Dell's near fanatical insistence that Intel is the only source of CPUs.

But then again, the Titanic could not sink so there was no need to use the lifeboats. Speaking of Titanic, how is Merced these days? Don't hear much about it. Dell probably think that server revenues from it will save their next quarter. One thing is sure, those P4 revenues won't. Hehehe.
