Scumbria and other political posters,

Bush/Gore/Bush/Gore. It doesn't matter. Neither of these guys has any conviction, each will say whatever it takes to get elected, and will not say anything that their market research teams figure could cost them votes. You are watching two competing marketing campaigns, may the best campaign manager and actor win. You are being manipulated, and you are falling for it.

There are better debates every day on these threads, these guys were afraid to say what they thought. What happened to candidates that had real personal convictions?

In the local political ads, they no longer mention if they are a Democrat or a Republican. Why? Because they are going for the maximum votes, and they know that a party association may cost them votes, versus their marketing message which (hopefully) will get them votes.

It's a pathetic joke.

John
