Warming here would make for a two crop growing season
With different crops, different pests, and an entirely new infrastructure of farm equipment, electrical requirements, and demand for mixed uses. I don't maintain that a warmer world would be a disaster, but it would be different and with change comes risk (which is also why I'm sticking with Gore).

EO that banned breeder reactors.
There is already more than enough plutonium in the U.S. to power reactors for 100 years. The proposal for breeder reactors was another risky scheme to create more nuclear weapons. Why aren't we building plutonium power stations? It's risky, very risky.
