Reminds me of a short & true story.
... the lady asked for 1/2 pound of salami, sliced thin.
The young kid behind the display case reached in and placed
what was about 1 inch in length left of what started out
as about a foot long and hard as a ****on any woman wishes
to dream about pointing in her "welcomed" direction.
Maybe that was the reason the lady shouted at the young man,
being reminded that being told "I Love You" never resulted
in those words being displayed.
No Walk to match the Talk.
Talk a foot, walk an inch.
Need a foot, get an inch.
No wonder that she will "Walk a mile for a Camel."
So the lady shouted "I don't want to pay full price
for what the store sells at a discount, those end pieces
gathered together into a package, or used to make those
in store made subs."
The young boy was at that age where twice a day is easy
and desired, and up to five possible. But need a place
of privacy, and living at home with Mom & Dad while still
in highschool. Something like a retired man at age 68
saying that now I have the free time and money, but not
no more my youth to do those things I wanted to do when
I was young but low on cash and working full time.

The young boy heard the lady snap at him, but was not
frazzled at all. Still wet behind the ears, yes,
but he also had that quick mind, uncluttered with what
Life is waiting to dump onto him, the good bad and ugly.

The young boy had a reply to her anger,
and yes it was not a nice one,
but reflects this boys ability to deal
with truth and honestly in a NOT manner.

The boy replied "Lady this what I hold in my hand,
this 1 inch length of meat that once was a 12 incher,
yes I agree what you see is what you see,
but what I have is not the "end", but the "beginning",
as 2 days ago I sold the wrong end of this salami first,
I sold the "end" by mistake first, so what I have here
is the "beginning" not the "end" as you think.

the "metal on the table" before being able to sell it
to the bank.

But lets end this story, as it is not a short one,
but started long before I joined this thread,
infact years before this thread started.

Kind of upscale and too sophisticated for ChucaCheeseWiz.
Got from Italy a Zerto Parmigiano Reggiano cheap at $10/lb.
