Dan: Intel's 4XXGX series has had 4 SDRAM channels since 1996 also The reference Daniel Schuch? gave for an ALI chipset with 2 SDRAM channels. tomshardware.com; So it seems multiple SDRAM channel systems do exist but they don't add any benefits performance wise. Their only benefit is support higher total memory capacities because of the extra DIMM sockets on mothereboard. I will rephrase my question: Are there any multi channel SDRAM systems that have higher performance strictly from a faster memory channel throughput.
